This page explains what happens to the information you send me through the contact form on this site. I am an individual, not a company, and I handle this information myself.
Who is responsible
Chloe Park, an independent medical interpreter based in Seoul, Republic of Korea. I am the data controller for the information described here. You can reach me at hello@chloeconcierge.com.
What I collect
Only what you type into the contact form: your name, your email address, a preferred contact method such as a WhatsApp number, and — if you choose to give them — your country, the approximate dates you will be in Korea, and your message.
The form also records the date and time of submission, and whether you ticked the consent boxes.
I do not collect your IP address, and I do not ask for any health information. Please do not send medical records or diagnoses through this form.
Why I collect it
To read your inquiry and reply to it, and to arrange interpretation if you decide to go ahead. That is the only purpose.
If you separately ticked the optional marketing box, I may also send you occasional updates. That consent is recorded separately and you can withdraw it at any time by replying to any message, or by emailing me.
Legal basis
Your consent, given by ticking the required box before you submit the form — Article 15 of Korea’s Personal Information Protection Act, and Article 6(1)(a) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation where it applies to you.
Where we go on to work together, I also process your information because it is necessary to perform our agreement (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).
Where it is stored, and who else can see it
Submissions arrive as an email to me and are recorded in a private spreadsheet held in Google Workspace. Google acts as a processor on my behalf; the data may be stored on servers outside Korea and outside the European Economic Area, under Google’s standard contractual clauses.
This site is hosted by a static hosting provider which keeps standard server logs.
I do not sell your information. I do not share it with clinics, hospitals or anyone else without asking you first and telling you exactly what would be shared.
How long I keep it
Inquiries that do not lead to work: deleted within 12 months.
Records relating to work actually carried out: kept for 5 years, which is the period Korean law requires for records of a commercial transaction, and then deleted.
Marketing consent: kept until you withdraw it.
Deletion means the spreadsheet row is removed and the related emails are deleted from my mailbox and from the mail provider’s deleted-items store.
Your rights
You can ask me at any time to show you what I hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to stop using it, or to send you a copy in a portable format. You can withdraw your consent at any time, and withdrawing it does not affect anything done before you did.
Email hello@chloeconcierge.com with the address you used. I will respond within 10 days, and in any case within one month.
If you are unhappy with how I have handled this, you may complain to Korea’s Personal Information Protection Commission (privacy.go.kr, or the 118 helpline). If you are in the EU or the UK, you may complain to your national supervisory authority.
Cookies and analytics
This site sets no cookies unless you accept them in the banner shown on your first visit. Fonts and images are served from this domain, so no third party sees your visit before you have chosen.
If you accept, Google Analytics is loaded to count visits and see which pages are read. It is configured with IP anonymisation and without advertising features. If you decline, or ignore the banner, nothing is loaded and nothing is measured. You can change your mind using the link in the footer.
Children
This site is not intended for anyone under 14, and I do not knowingly collect their information. If a minor needs interpretation, the inquiry should come from a parent or guardian.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Material changes affecting information already collected will be sent to you by email.
